I will use this tripod for travel. It fits very compactly (without case) in my carry on bag. It is very sturdy and I like the foam padded legs for carrying.Star
It's only drawback is the height, but this won't be much of an issue for me as I am 5'7". Because of it's light weight, I can see myself using this tripod more often than my heavier tripod even when I am not traveling.
